To kick off the new, independent book shop coming to East End, we are celebrating some of our local authors with a book fair! Bookmark It’s founder hopes to turn eaters into readers and expand the notion of a ‘Locavore’ to include locally grown books. Tables will line both the first and second floors of East End’s open air courtyard, where you can peruse and purchase a wide variety of genres! Gift wrapping will be available by donation, with money going towards Page 15.org, a local children’s literacy organization.
Bookmark It will open January 2014, offering books that support the mission of East End and the Market’s merchants, including topics on organic farming, juicing, sustainability, and the like. Bookmark It Founder, Kim Britt, will champion the local writing community with a wide selection of books by Central Florida authors, and will develop events and programs that offer opportunities for book launches, readings, workshops, and more!
